On this issue of Comic:NEWS-NET, I will be talking solely about Marvel. Why is this important? Well, if you don't know, I'm a huge fan of Marvel stuff. Yes I love the movies and TV shows but the Marvel Universe doesn't really get me like the DC Universe does. So I figured, from here on out, my C:NN posts would be better if I just stuck to the stuff I was most passionate about.

But I'm not ready to say goodbye yet. I figured I'd "Cap" things off with a post dedicated to the latest and greatest out of the House of M. And on the plus side, it gives you dear reader the opportunity to step up and step in to contribute your own Comic:NEWS-NET post on all the continuing Marvel news. If you think you have what it takes to Scan the News the Marvel way, check the end of this issue to see how you can GET INVOLVED!

MCU

So, first off, we have the GIANT ELEPHANT in the room that is The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Marvel Studios has begun releasing a mad plethora of clips and featurettes, and so here for your viewing, potentially *SPOILERY* pleasure, I give you a small handful of these videos in a special NEWS-NET playlist.

Marvel Studios announced recently that the Russo Brothers, previous directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, are set to direct the two part Avengers: Infinity War.

Also, a Second trailer for the anticipated Ant-Man movie was released recently. The concept may seem weird but after the oddity of Guardians of the Galaxy became a runaway hit, my only negative thought toward Ant-Man is that I wish DC had gotten the Atom doing some shrinking super-heroics first.

And finally from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the interconnected universe on the small screen, as of April 10th you can see the addicting Daredevil Series of 13 episodes on Netflix. Speaking as someone who is only halfway through with the series, it is pretty much the House of Cards/Breaking Bad/Walking Dead/whatever-other-super-addictive-TV-show-that-you-wish-would-go-on-and-on-and-never-stop of comics. I'm going to say exactly what I said when I walked out of the Daredevil movie all those years ago...Why can't we do something like this for Batman?

FOX

Over in the Fox portion of the Marvel Universe, Ryan Reynolds recently tweeted a picture of his Deadpool costume; and I've got to say it looks about as close as any live action thing has come to the actual comic look.

It seems like this production, as Reynolds has said on multiple occasions, will be extremely faithful to the comics. Photos have been posted online showing Wade Wilson's scarred face. A number of casting announcements have been made leading many to suspect that they will be closely related to the Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness/Walter McDaniel run on Deadpool. Along with Ryan Reynolds as Wade "Deadpool" Wilson, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa "Copycat" Carlysle, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Ed Skrein as Ajax, and Gina Corano as Angel Dust.

Also Photos and Videos online show that they may be filming in live action the previous test footage that was leaked online.

Long time X-Men member Colossus may be showing up in the Deadpool movie as well, but will not be played by previous actor, Daniel Cudmore.

Fox confirms that Deadpool will be "definitely" looking to receive an "R" rating.

In other Fox/Marvel news, three mutants have been cast for the X-Men: Apocalypse movie. Lana Condor will play JubileeKodi Smit-McPhee will play Nightcrawler, and fan favorite Olivia Munn will take up the role of Psylock. also concept art

Fox also released FOUR featurettes focusing on each of the members of the Fantastic Four. I am cautiously optimistic about this movie. Everything I have seen looks good, but I'm not sure how to take the fact that a member of my church is on the production team for the movie and said that they recently did a bunch of reshoots to redo the end of the movie.
